Rev. Ike Hughes moved to Fairlea, WV in February of 2009 to become the pastor of Fairlea Associate Reformed Presbyterian (A. R. P.) Church.
Rev. Hughes was born and raised in Lakeland, FL. His parents, John & Jayne Hughes, became Christians when Ike was 2. When it was time for Ike to begin school, he was enrolled in Lakeland Christian School (LCS). He graduated from LCS in 1987. Rev. Hughes received his Bachelors of Science degree from Florida Southern College, double majoring in Business Administration and Economics, in 1991.
In 1994, Ike married Michelle. They have three boys: Gregory, Lucas, and Zackary (yes, it’s spelled with a ‘k’).
Rev. Hughes worked in management and sales with several companies prior to entering seminary in 2005. Rev. Hughes attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Oviedo, FL. He graduated with his Masters of Divinity in May of 2008.
Rev. Hughes and his family have adjusted well to life in West Virginia. They have gotten involved in several local activities, including Little League, Tae Kwon Do, the Greenbrier Valley Chorale, and Classical Conversations. Rev. Hughes enjoys hunting, fishing, classical music, reading, and spending time with his wife and family.
Rev. Hughes has a passion for the residents of Fairlea, Ronceverte, and Lewisburg in seeing them come to the Gospel.
