We are excited that you are interested in learning more about the Fairlea ARP Church. As a family, we are striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible, where there is heart-felt worship, challenging teaching, honest friendships, and compassion for those who are hurting. Our vision is to create a family in which God’s grace transforms lives.
Who Are We?
Fairlea is a collection of families who live in Greenbrier, Monroe, and Summers Counties, WV. We are a member congregation of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. The Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church is a small Presbyterian denomination that is conservative in theology and practice. The name Associate Reformed Presbyterian is a historical name taken from the names of two separate Groups in Scotland. The Associate group and the Reformed group merged in this country in 1782 to form the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Learn more about our denomination.
The congregation has worshiped together in this community since the early 1940’s. The current Sanctuary was built in 1944, with the addition of Fellowship Hall in 1948.
What Do We Believe?
We are a people of The Bible. We are committed to the full authority of the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. We are a church committed to the doctrines of the Reformed faith expressed in the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Catechisms and to The Standards of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church (click here for copies of these documents). We are committed to a warm, evangelical faith that welcomes Christians to join in the work of Christ and encourages people with questions about the Christian faith to freely seek honest answers.
Where Are We?
Fairlea Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church is located on US 219 North in front of the entrance to the State Fair of West Virginia.
